The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia
[edit]... that The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia includes a foreword by Zelda series creator Shigeru Miyamoto?
- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/P Sathasivam
- Comment: Former redirect. The "The History of Hyrule: A Chronology" section was largely copied and pasted from another Wikipedia article.

- This isn't a full review but I just wanted to pop in to say that the hook could be much more interesting. Axem Titanium (talk) 00:50, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- The expansion from a redirect is long enough and new enough, excluding the text taken from the main Zelda article. The detector by Earwig shows no obvious copyright violations. I agree with Axem Titanium that a more interesting fact should be used instead.--Taiping Tulip (talk) 03:25, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1: ... that Hyrule Historia reveals the official timeline of fictional events in The Legend of Zelda series?
- CaseyPenk (talk) 19:57, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Much better. Axem Titanium (talk) 22:16, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- I agree, I like this hook better than the first one. I also suggest replacing the word official with canonical (with a link to Canon (fiction), in case readers confuse canon as in Star Wars with canon as in the Western Canon), because official can be more ambiguous. Works that are officially licensed by Nintendo are not necessarily canonical.--Typing General (talk) 22:44, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Untrue...."canonical" seems too unnecessary. Its the official fictional chronology kf the series. Its official guide info, so the need for "canon" is unnecessary. On another note, the relevance of the fictional chronology could be expanded by mentioning how it has been debated throughout the years.Lucia Black (talk) 22:56, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Lucia, thanks for the input on the relevance. I debated including that. The ALT1 hook could be expanded to include something along the lines of ", setting aside years of debate by fans." I didn't know if that would be getting a bit lengthy. Do you have an exact wording (that is, an ALT2 proposal) that you'd prefer? CaseyPenk (talk) 23:05, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Lucia, you are likely right. I am no expert at video games, so I will defer to you on that point.--Typing General (talk) 23:12, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

maybe somewhere along the lines of DYK "The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia reveals the fictional chronology of the Legend of Zelda series that was often debated by fans?"Lucia Black (talk) 23:18, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- ALT2: ... that Hyrule Historia reveals the official timeline of fictional events in The Legend of Zelda series, following years of speculation by fans?

- ALT 2. I love the new hook, great work. The hook is supported by the IGN timeline article .--Typing General (talk) 01:53, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
